    Upon completion of this review the student will be able to:

    1. Recognize the different behavioral emergencies encountered in the pre-hospital setting
    2. Discuss the Mental Health Hold and its implications
    3. Describe an approach to evaluating patients with behavioral emergencies
    4. Identify treatment modalities and approaches available to managing patients with behavioral emergencies

    EMS CE Hour Allocation

    EMT Basic: Medical/Behavioral Emergency Patient Assessment & Management = 1.5 hr
    Paramedic: Medical: FC: Assess a patient experiencing a behavioral problem = 1.5 hr

    Nursing CE Allocation 
    Allocation  Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #14053, for 1.5 Contact Hours
